Crafting Patterns for Charity

A couple weeks ago I posted about donating handmade items to charity and linked to a bunch of different charities as options to donate.  Each charity serves a different purpose and looks for different items to be donated, so I thought I would get a list of patterns together for different items that would be perfect to make.  The patterns below are either knit or crochet and are simple beginner projects.  Even if you are just starting out with a hook or needles, you can try these.  These projects are also a great opportunity for you to try new stitches or techniques if you are an advanced crafter.

Be sure to first check the website of the charity you are wishing to donate to.  They often have guidelines (or even specific patterns) for you to follow which may include yarn type, sizes of items, or other requirements.

Thanks for including my blanket in your post! It truly is an easy and fast pattern with beautiful results and I’m glad you included it for such a good cause.
